We have recently entered the field of heat and electric power cogeneration utilizing the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology, which is based on the utilization of an organic fluid as a heat agent instead of water.
The TURBODEN ORC plant aims at the following:
- To produce electricity, to feed the existed grid owned by Public Enterprise of Electricity
- To discharge the remaining thermal power, heating an appropriate flow of hot water.
The energy flow diagram and the cogeneration units (electricity generator and distance heating and refrigeration units) are illustrated in scheme no1.
Our company’s active presence in the area of cogeneration is established with the in-progress design and construction of cogeneration units in Vatopedi Monastery of Mount Athos.
